Plus TypeTrance subscriptions — Plus and Patron

Plus includes ad-free TypeTrance, which applies from the day ads start: TypeTrance shows no ads today, so today it changes nothing. Patron adds the Patron mark, shown in your TypeTrance account now and on public profiles once profiles open.

Everything listed under “Coming” is not part of today's price; each item becomes part of Plus when it ships. Today, Plus is mostly a way to fund TypeTrance.

Yes. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period — every month or every year — at the price you agreed to, until you cancel. Stripe emails you a receipt for every payment, and annual plans get a reminder email before each renewal.

Use “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every account page: it works without signing in. Or open Manage billing, here or on the Billing page, and choose Cancel in Stripe's customer portal. There is no survey and no offer to talk you out of it.

Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for: you keep your subscription until then, and you are not charged again.

Cancelling stops future charges. A payment is not refunded for the rest of its period, except where the law requires it.

• Within 14 days of buying you can withdraw and get back what you paid, minus the share of the period already used (how to withdraw).
• A duplicate or mistaken charge is refunded.
• Forgot to cancel before an annual renewal? Ask within 14 days of that charge and it is refunded in full.

On your Billing page, choose “Withdraw from contract here”. It is there for 14 days from the day you subscribed; the page shows the exact deadline. Confirm your name and the address for the acknowledgement, then choose “Confirm withdrawal”.

Your subscription ends at once. Because it started at your request, you get back what you paid minus the share of your first period already used, rounded in your favour, within 14 days. You can also withdraw by e-mail; the Terms have a model form.

Patron is a recurring subscription at an amount you choose, at least USD 50.00 a month or a year. Each paid period includes TypeTrance Plus and the Patron mark.

The money goes to ColsonSuperApps LLC, the company that builds TypeTrance. Patron is not a donation and is not tax-deductible.

Plus can switch between monthly and annual in Manage billing; the switch happens at the end of your current period.

An account has one subscription at a time. To move between Plus and Patron, or to change a Patron amount, cancel in Manage billing and start the new subscription here once the current period has ended.

Yes, when gifts are open. Enter their handle under Gift Plus, choose monthly or annual, and pay on Stripe's checkout page. It is a subscription in your name: it renews and charges you until you cancel it, and they keep Plus until the end of the period you have paid for. There is no fixed-length gift.

You can send it anonymously: they then see an anonymous racer instead of your handle. You stay the payer on Stripe's receipts and in our billing records. They can decline the gift; it then ends at once and you are refunded for the time they will not use. After your 14-day withdrawal period, the time they had an annual gift is charged at the monthly price, so the refund is what is left after that. A racer who already has Plus, or who switched gifts off, cannot receive one.

No. Ranked play and STANDINGS are identical for everyone. A subscription never changes a score or a place in STANDINGS.

Stripe. You pay on Stripe's secure checkout page, and TypeTrance never sees or stores your card number. Your receipts come from Stripe.

Yes. A subscription belongs to a TypeTrance account, and only adults (18 or older) can buy one. Practice never needs an account.
